Call for posters open: AI4CHIEF event on AI, climate change and Indigenous Peoples

METEOR participants are warmly invited to contribute to AI4CHIEF, a peer‑reviewed scientific event connecting research, policy and practice on a timely transdisciplinary theme: Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples.

Led by the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (France) in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania (USA) and supported by The Open University (UK), the event offers poster presenters the chance to disseminate work in progress, build new collaborations, and strengthen their academic CVs.

How to submit a poster (deadline: 31 March)

  • Prepare a digital poster in PowerPoint format (A3).
  • Submit your poster to Dr Alexandra Okada (ale.okada@open.ac.uk).
  • Posters will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee; selected posters may have the registration fee waived for METEOR members.

Hybrid participation option

If you cannot attend in person and your poster is selected, you may still participate in hybrid mode by adding a QR code to your poster linking to a short (3‑minute) video presentation.

Why this matters for METEOR: AI4CHIEF is a strong opportunity to practice eco‑outwards research communication, connect with an international community working across sectors, and showcase poster‑based work aligned with METEOR’s training focus.

“We warmly welcome poster presentations from METEOR researchers—let’s connect science, policy and practice.” (Dr Alexandra Okada, Chair – Track 6 – AI4CHIEF)

We encourage METEOR doctoral candidates, early career researchers and supervisors to consider submitting a poster and sharing this opportunity within their networks.
